Decline Curve Analysis: Reciprocal Rate Radial Flow Introduction

Traditional decline curve analysis is quick and easy, however it has some obvious pitfalls, e.g. it neglects flow regime changes and consequently overestimates reserves. There are more advanced interpretations that can more accurately predict reserves and return reservoir characterization parameters under the right circumstances. In this video I introduce the reciprocal rate radial flow interpretation and the methodology to forecast reserves and EUR using this specialized plot.
