At the Build Bharat Expo 2025, Union MSME Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi highlighted the crucial role of MSMEs in India's economic growth, calling them the "backbone of India's economy." Speaking at the event held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, he emphasized the sector's contribution to employment, innovation, and rural development. Organized by the Indian Industries Association (IIA), the expo featured over 151 companies and trade delegations from 34 countries, including Austria, Malaysia, Russia, Iran, Canada, and Iceland. Supported by the Ministry of MSME, the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, and the MSME & Export Promotion Department of Uttar Pradesh, the event aimed to enhance trade collaborations and policy discussions for MSME growth.

In his address, Manjhi reiterated the government’s commitment to empowering small businesses and strengthening their role in India's economic progress. He stressed the need for integrating MSMEs into global trade networks, ensuring better access to credit, technology, and markets. The expo provided a vital platform for MSMEs to showcase their products, engage with international delegates, and explore new opportunities for growth and collaboration.
