By popular demand from viewers of my YouTube videos, I am happy to announce the availability of the Paracordist's Monkeys Fist Jig!
With my videos and this jig, you can make perfect monkeys fist creations with inserts anywhere from 3/4" to 1.5" in diameter. This jig dissembles in seconds using 5/16" diameter wooden dowels for convenient packing or storage!!

The jigs shown in pictures and videos may have a different hole pattern, or use graphite rods. The graphite rods are no longer offered with the jig available for purchse. When the grahpite rod price increased I chose not to pass that along to the customer. I decided to use the wooden dowels which do not effect performance and can easily be replaced using wooden dowels available from most hardware stores, In my first monkey's fist video, I even used pencils!

I frequently tinker with the pattern arrangement to provide the maximum flexibility in use with different bearing sizes, so your jig may have a recent improvement that make its appearance differ slightly from that seen in photos or videos. Designed to my specifications, this is the only jig I use for all my "monkey" creations. (typically ships in 5-10 business days)

This is the first of a three part video series on making the two color Monkey's Fist keychain fob. I've never seen any two-color monkeys fist how to videos, so this is my take on the process. Any similarity to someone else's approach is coincidental, and if I learn better ways to do this maybe I'll do a follow-up video. The finished keychain fob can be used in self defense applications, it can be tied to the ends of 550 cord to create a boleadora (bolas), or it can be used to weigh a heaving line for nautical and other purposes. This first video segment will demonstrate the use of the exclusive monkey's fist jig and two strands of 550 para cord to form the knot. I'll soon be following up with Part II which will show the proper tightening of the monkeys fist (a task I took for granted, but many people have requested that I film). Finally, Part III will show the formation of the doubled lanyard knot with a loop. Enjoy and as always, if you find this video helpful please click Share, Like, Favorite etc...
