In this video, I break down Nick Fuentes’ America First Episode 1630, where he continues talking about the shooting of Alex Pretti in Minneapolis and the new video footage that emerged showing Pretti in an altercation with federal agents 11 days before he was fatally shot. The newly released clips show Pretti confronting federal agents — yelling at them, kicking a government vehicle taillight, and being tackled to the ground — long before the Jan. 24 shooting that took his life.

Nick pushes the message that this situation is a civil war — left vs right — and that violent consequences, even death, are inevitable if mass deportation is enforced. While I understand where he’s coming from in terms of frustration with federal immigration enforcement and political leadership, I don’t agree with framing the issue as us vs. them. I explain why we need solutions that protect both civilians and law enforcement, not tribal escalation.

I also share my thoughts on how the deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti — and the release of new footage — should be interpreted without playing into binary political narratives. Instead of cheering or condemning based on partisan lines, we should be asking how leadership at every level can de-escalate conflict and prevent further loss of life.
