She sat up and rubbed her eyes to get rid of the mist—it didn't work. Slightly scared, she thought: “Wow, far out! I don’t do drugs, but this is amazing! Hmmm… maybe this is the effect of endorphins on my optic nerves?” She went back to sleep, assured it would all go away in the morning. She was wrong.

When morning came, she not only saw the fine mist of color around him, but the mist seemed to be communicating intimate details about this man to her. In a panic, she ran to the window to see if anyone else had glowing mists and yes, they did.

Thus began her journey to wrangle the gift—and challenge--of seeing auras. The journey has brought her to study with wisdom teachers and shamans from around the world, as well as receive and trust information from Spirit, and most importantly, her own knowing.

When her husband Jim suffered a sudden cardiac arrest and had a powerful near-death experience (NDE), Elke not only performed CPR to save his life—she saw his spirit hovering in the room and spoke directly to it.
