Vintage TV Console Revamp

I inherited this family heirloom TV console from the 60’s and couldn’t not revamp it!

I gutted the old TV and turned it into a display/storage cubby.
Then I added some LEDs to light up the cabinet, the old radio, and the channel selector! But the best part is I figured out (with a little help from my Papa) how to hack into the lights so they turn on & off with the original radio switch!
I couldn't get the old radio working but I was able to keep all of the knobs and the tuner functional at least.

This was also my first time really working with nice wood, stain, and finishing but I’m quite happy with the results. I definitely have a newfound respect and appreciation for furniture craftsman!

I don't have a home for this thing yet but when I figure out where I'm going to keep it, then I'll install some good speakers and probably drop in a record player into that empty shelf on the left.
