Intravenous pyelogram, also called intravenous urogram, is a radiological procedure used to examine the urinary system including the kidneys, ureters and urinary bladder. During the test the Radiologist inject a contrast media (dye) into the patient's vein. The rad technologist uses x-ray to follow the track of the dye through the system.
