I took about an hour on the Taiwan High Speed ​​Rail (THSR) from Taipei to Taichung.
The train was developed based on the JR Tokaido Shinkansen, so it wasn't anything new, but I was able to enjoy the beautiful nature of Taiwan from the train window.
I changed to a local line and headed to Old Taichung Station.
Old Taichung Station, a historical building built during the Japanese colonial period, is a cultural facility where you can freely enter the station building and exhibited trains.
If you see the stainless steel DR2700 model train on display and think of the Hibiya Line, you must be of a certain age.
It was manufactured by Tokyu Car Corporation in Japan, so it may have been cutting-edge technology at the time.
