In the series of Deoghar Tour And travels, our first destination was Basukinath Temple which is popularly known as Baba Basukinath Dham. Basukinath Temple is situated at Dunks district of Deoghar City. The temple is 47 km away from Deoghar. It took one hour thirty minutes to reach the place. We reached there at 9 o'clock as we went out with of our hotel room very early in the morning to avoid rush and crowd.
This temple is dedicated to lord basukinath. Every year rakha of devotees come here to seek blessings from lord basukinath. If you wants to do puja, all puja samagris are available there.
Story Behind basukinath Temple...
There is a interesting story about this Basukinath Temple. Once upon a time there was a farmer.One day, when Basuki was plowing the land, a stone touched his plow .He saw that milk coming out of the stone. Basuki become frighten and ran away from that place.Later on He Heard prophecy of Lord Shiva that don't be frightened, I am lord Shiva. Establish a temple here and Worship me. Then Basuki made a temple of Lord Shiva there and worship him. This place is popularly known as Baba Basukinath Dham.
