Understanding Business Risk

All businesses, whatever their size and shape, whatever markets they operate in and whatever products or services they provide, are constantly faced with a multitude of risks, large and small. Indeed, businesses can only prosper by successful risk taking. Businesses face a multitude of risks, and many are completely unforeseen, such as the situation we face with the Covid19 epidemic. Businesses need to develop processes and systems to identify, manage and control for risks. In this lesson we will look at the main sources of business risk, the types of business risks and the need to introduce programs to effectively manage risk.
