Once a month, we host a special "theme day" where members are encouraged to operate specific trains. One of our perennial favorites is Southern Pacific day, where we see everything from cab-forwards and GS-class Northerns to AC4400s and SD45-Ts. SP Day is also when some of our longest trains can be seen, including the massive ~80 car Tank Train, which needs 10 locomotives and two throttles to tackle our HO scale Donner Pass route.
