We finally begin painting our canal boat number one! But before we get out paint brushes out there is lots of preparation work to be done... We look at how to treat the nasty rust patches on our roof and also sand down the roof to prepare it for its first coat of paint.

We also spot a mysterious little creature in the towpath hedgerow!

This video series is not only a look at the long process of painting but also a view of life and nature as we travel around the canal and river network in the South-East of England.
