Tama Tension Lock (TTL10) : Bearded Breakdown 4/25/18

In this week's Bearded Breakdown we quickly talk about the new Tension Lock (TTL10) from Tama Drums. These tension locks are an improvement on previous versions of the tension lock in that these not only are designed to perfectly seat on the top of the tension rod due to the octagonal slits on the top of the lock but also can be tuned while still on top of the tension rod without having to be removed. These locks feature a small control O-ring which not only keeps the tension rod in place but also allows the the tension rod to be tuned while the lock is still in place and is designed to not wear out or loosen after multiple tunings. Also, the lock's center hole is offset to allow use with multiple types of rims such as triple flanged and die cast as well as many different brands of rims. A very cool idea and a nice upgrade from previous versions allowing drummers to tackle the annoying problem of drums detuning while being played.
