According to the Forest Survey of India, this is one of the last remaining tropical thorn forests in the country. Such forests occurring in Kutch are characterised by Acacia arabica, Acacia leucophloea, Capparis ophylla, Zizyphus mauratiana etc. The thorny forests of north Gujarat are sparse and provide sites for cattle-grazing. This place is Old Tapkeshwari Mata Temple, around 4 Kilometers from the town of Bhuj. For reaching to the temple you need to hike about 4 Kms on the top of Tapkeshwari Hills.
