Moments In Jack Trice Stadium - October 7, 2023 - Iowa State v. TCU

As our contribution to the Jack Trice Legacy game on October 7th, 2023, the Cyclone Marching Band wanted to celebrate some of the memorable moments that have occurred in Jack Trice Stadium. While Jack only played two football games for ISU, his memory and his legacy continue to inspire and bring Cyclones together. We featured the following moments in our show:

Mr. Roboto by Styx: This song was played by the band during our halftime performance at the 2011 Iowa State v. Oklahoma State football game. The Cyclones won in double overtime against the #2 ranked Cowboys and many say this game helped "Break the BCS" and paved the way for the modern College Football Playoff.

Throwdown by Roland Barret: This tune has been one of the band's defensive cheers for years, and provided a perfect backdrop to relive some football highlights on the video boards in Jack Trice Stadium. We also had the opportunity to bring back Cyclone Legend, Seneca Wallance, to recreate his iconic 2002 touchdown against Texas Tech, known to Cyclone fans as "The Run."

Theme from "Jurassic Park" by John Williams: In 2018, the Cyclone Marching Band had it's own moment in the spotlight. During our halftime performance at the Iowa State v. West Virginia game, we featured the music of John Williams and a small army of dancing dinos, that went viral. To celebrate special moments in Jack Trice Stadium, we brought them back for an encore performance!

Juicy Wiggle by Redfoo: At the very same 2018 game where the Cyclones took on the Mountaineers, a new tradition was born featuring this song by Redfoo. Now a staple of Iowa State sporting events, it only made sense to end our show with the Juicy Wiggle!
