"PROJECT AETHER" tells the story of five people who are haunted in mortality in different ways after moving into a wooded old house know as the Bateman estate. Joy Willard stars as a blue-collar American who has taken a liking to a man who has a special connection to the afterlife. This man, played by director Shawn Welling, is a writer/journalist who has a near-death experience that shakes his reality. His niece, Marissa Lee, is a young dancer who is repeatedly drawn to the forbidden bedroom at the end of the hall.

As a series of unsettling events occur- Marissa's continues to be lured to the room along with two other family members, Anneysa Bee and Morgan. They begin to hear "the latin voices" and Morgan, the youngest cousin, is sucked into the room disappearing from this earthly plane of reality into the metaphysical world of the Aether.

Unable to find his niece, Shawn and girlfriend Joy consult with Dr. Jonathan Stewart, a clairvoyant and professional in exorcism. They find that Morgan, along with their beloved pet dog Max, is alive in the house- only to be held on another spectral plane. Jonathan Stewart sends for his team and they begin the search in order to pierce the plane. Meanwhile, next-door neighbor John Sotolongo and estate grounds keeper Michael Pickering continue to have curious insights to the events happening in the Bateman house.
