BMW F90 M5 - Oil Change

This is a video on how to do an oil change on a 2019 M5 Competition. This is not a video on which brand motor oil to use. I recommend sticking to the manufacturer’s spec which is Fully Synthetic SAE 0W-30 Special long-life engine oil, approved by BMW.

EQUIPMENT:
MODIFIED RAMPS
OIL CATCH PAN


Tools:
1/2 in drive ratchet
3/8 in drive ratchet
8mm allen socket 3/8 drive
27mm 6 point socket 1/2 drive
Wrench For 86mm Cartridge Style - part # 83300493936
3/8 in drive torque wrench
right angle pick or any other pick is fine

OIL & FILTER:
ORIGINAL BMW ENGINE OIL SAE 0W-30 - 11QTS ( TAKES 10.5 QTS, FILL UP 10QTS & CHECK OIL LEVEL, ADD AS NEEDED)
OIL FILTER PT# 11 42 7 848 321
BMW OEM MOTOR OIL 0w-30 - PT# 83212365950

BRAKE CLEANER
GLOVES
SHOP TOWELS
OIL FUNNEL KIT FROM HARBOR FREIGHT

Torque spec for oil drain plug is 25nm. You don't need to torque the oil filter cap.
