How to Change Filter and Cartridges
on the NuvoH2O Manor Duo System

To get started you’ll need to order everything you need online ahead of time (this will include a new
filter and citrus cartridge).
Tools you’ll need a wrench that comes with the kit, towels for incidental spills, and a five-gallon bucket.
Step 1: Turn off your water to the Manor Duo. Be sure to hit bypass so the rest of the house can still use
water. When the valves are off, the black button will bleed some air into the system. You’ll hear some
gurgling of water. This relieves the pressure and allows you to un-do both of these.
Step 2: Rinse the vessel that the cartridge fits in. Slide the new cartridge in and screw it back on.
Important to note that when replacing the citric acid cartridge, you should check that water doesn’t spill
on the floor because the acid could damage the floor.
Step 3: Dump and throw the cartridge away.
Step 4: When putting the new cartridge in, bleed the air when putting the two cartridges in so that both
the filter and citric are filled with water. Leave your bypass on, but when your ear notices you’ve got
water in there, rather than air turn it back off. Replace.
Step 5: Turn it back on.
Step 6: Leave the bypass on for about an hour so the citric acid hardens and doesn’t give a big burst into
the system.
And that’s it. All you’ll need is a few simple tools, a kit, and about 20 minutes of your time.
