The beginning of the year is ALWAYS the toughest for me..
Especially with seeing SO MANY highlight reels from 2024 and now to all the lofty goals splashed all over instagram of so many different people... it just breeds the perfect situation for me to look at the world and look at myself.. and wonder.. "Why can't i be like them?.."

This is the kind of myself I've carried for most of my life.. and to be honest it makes me such a jealous and bitter person.. instead of celebrating the people around me, i'm filled with envy.. and instead of celebrating for what I do have and CAN do, i'm quick to toss it because its NOT hitting my measure of expectations....

But i'm starting to realize that this is the most INHIBITING mentality that's stopping me from feeling valued, enough, and happy.. because the truth is... comparing myself to the people around me, will NEVER allow me to appreciate my own growth and happiness..

Even in mother nature, a flower doesn't think about competing with the flower next to it.. it just blooms 🌱
