Reading and Northern

On Saturday, May 28th, 2022, Reading Blue Mountain and Northern's (RBMN) newly restored steam locomotive, #2102, hauled its first passenger train in over thirty years in the very first Iron Horse Ramble excursion of 2022. This event has been long anticipated by many railfans and enthusiasts alike and was definitely a treat to witness. While the weather was a bit rainy on the northbound leg of the excursion to Jim Thorpe, the sun appeared in the afternoon for some beautiful shots of the locomotive as it hauled its passenger train back to Reading.

I would like to thank the Reading and Northern for creating these excursions, as it brought joy to myself and the hundreds of other people who also followed the locomotive yesterday on its first passenger voyage. There are three more iron horse rambles this year, with several standard coach tickets still available. I also would like to thank my family for providing some of the footage in this video, as they also chased #2102 and were able to capture the train at a location I had wished to see it, that being Lake Hauto.
