The company is positioning it as a spacious five-seater aimed at families considering models like the Mercedes-Benz GLC or BMW X3. Prices will range from about $35,000 to $42,000.

The i6 will come in both single- and dual-motor versions, offering an estimated range of up to 447 miles. It features a low-drag design to enhance efficiency and extend range.

Li Auto is counting on the i6 to help reverse its slumping sales. In August, it delivered just over 28,500 vehicles — down nearly 41% from the same time last year — following the underwhelming performance of its previous electric SUV, the Li i8. From January through August, total deliveries were down almost 9% year-over-year.

The company aims to stabilize monthly deliveries between 9,000 and 10,000 units for the i6, hoping to rejuvenate its performance in the increasingly competitive electric vehicle market.
