জাতীয় বিপ্লব ও সংহতি দিবস উপলক্ষে ৮ নভেম্বর বিএনপির আয়োজনে রাজধানীর কাকরাইলে এক আলোচনা সভায় বিএনপির স্থায়ী কমিটির সদস্য সালাহউদ্দিন আহমদ বলেছেন, ভারতে বসে আওয়ামী লীগের ১৩ নভেম্বরের লকডাউন কর্মসূচি দেওয়া পাগলের প্রলাপ, শক্তি থাকলে তাদের ভারতে পালাতে হতো না।
সর্বশেষ বলতে হয়, সালাউদ্দিনসহ জঙ্গি যোদ্ধারা বলে থাকে শেখ হাসিনা পালিয়ে গিয়েছে, কিন্তু সত্য কথা হচ্ছে, শেখ হাসিনাকে নিরাপদ স্থানে সরিয়ে নেয়া হয়েছে। দেশ এখনও অনিরাপদ। দেশ এখন জঙ্গিদের দখলে। ৫ হাজারের অধিক আওয়ামী লীগের নেতাকর্মীদের হত্যা করা হয়েছে। প্রায় ৫ লাখ নেতাকর্মী দেশের বিভিন্ন জেলে বন্দি আছে। জেলের ভেতরেও নেতাকর্মীদের হত্যা করা হচ্ছে। আত্মরক্ষার প্রশ্নে আওয়ামী লীগের কিছু সংখ্যক নেতাকর্মীরা দেশ ছেড়েছেন।
অথচ, যে সময় বিএনপি অগ্নিসন্ত্রাস করছিলো, সে সময় সালাউদ্দিন নিজেই ভারতে পালিয়ে গিয়েছিলো এবং অবৈধ অনুপ্রবেশের মামলা শেষ হবার পরও ২ বছরের বেশি অবস্থান করেছে, দেশে ফিরেনি। সালাউদ্দিন পালিয়ে গিয়েছিলো এবং অবৈধভাবে ভারতে ছিলো, তাই মামলা হয়েছিলো। শেখ হাসিনা পালিয়ে গেলে, অবৈধ অনুপ্রবেশ করলে তাঁর নামে মামলা হতো। শেখ হাসিনা ভারতে নির্বাসিত প্রধানমন্ত্রীর মর্যাদায় আছেন, বন্দি হিসেবে নয়। সালাউদ্দিনের নেতা তারেক দীর্ঘ ১৭ বছর পলাতক আছেন, নাকি নির্বাসিত আছেন?
