Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering GATE Psychology Admission Application-2023
The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur and seven other Indian Institutes of Technology will host GATE 2023. IIT Mumbai, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Chennai, Roorkee, Bengaluru, and Madras are among these institutions. The National Coordination Board—GATE, The Department of Higher Education, MoE (Ministry of Education), and the Government of India are sponsoring the examination.

Eligibility criteria of the Exam:
Candidates who possess a Graduation degree in the field of Engineering, science, arts, Commerce, technology, etc.
Candidates who are currently in the third year of graduation or 4th year of graduation.
Master’s degree in Psychology Currently in the 1st /2nd/3rd/4thyear or already completed.

GATE Psychology 2023 Examination pattern:
General Aptitude (GA): The general aptitude portion includes 10 questions with 15 marks. Question distribution is as follows.

05 Questions with 1 mark each
05 Questions with 2 marks each
Section B1(Reasoning and Comprehension): The Reasoning and Comprehension part includes 15 questions with 25 marks. Question distribution is as follows.

05 Questions with 1 mark each
10 Questions with 2 marks each
Psychology Paper(C5): The Psychology Paper includes 40 questions with 60 marks. Question distribution

Total number of Questions: 40

20 Questions with 1 mark each
20 Questions with 2 marks each
Total: 100 Marks (General Aptitude + Reasoning and Comprehension + Psychology Paper)
Types of Questions
MCQ – Multiple Choice Question, there would be a question will four alternates, candidates have to choose one correct option.

MSQ- Carrying 1 to 2 marks in the paper, there would be no negative marking.

NAT- Candidates have to type the answer in an integer type, there would be no negative marking.

Negative Marking: Yes, there would be a penalty of 1/3 marks for every wrong answer for 1 mark question and a penalty of 2/3 marks for every incorrect question of 2 marks.
