I use a simple method for working out the diminish of valley jack rafters and this method also works for jack rafters and also if you double the diminish for cripple jack rafters
Valley jack rafters travel from the ridge board to the valley rafter, they will get smaller each time by an equal amount this is called the diminish. In this video I talk about how to work out the diminish and demonstrate how I do it
