Taste with us different beer styles as we will be talking about them and about the funny history of Beer in Iceland.

We will be celebrating together
the Beer Day in Iceland (Icelandic: Bjórdagurinn).
Honoring the elimination of the 74-year prohibition of beer. The Prohibition lasted from January 1, 1915, to March 1, 1989.

The list of the beers you "need" to buy from your local microbreweries are =
1 x Standard Lager
1 x Amber Ale
1 x Pale Ale
1 x Indian Pale Ale (IPA)
1 x Porter (or Stout)
1 x Sour beer

RVK Brewing Company was born out of a pure and simple passion for good beer.
After working for years in the New York City finance sector the founder Siggi found out his true passion. Good Beer. And making it. And spreading out the word about good beer in Iceland.

Beer was only allowed in Iceland in the late eighties. Until then we could only have it abroad or have it smuggled into the country, and the first beers to arrive were just ok. So the story of craft beer here is pretty short. We want to write some of the next chapters in it. The ingredients are all here. The passion is all here. Come check us out.
