“Introducing the architectural marvel, Kristoforus Elementary School building, nestled in the heart of West Jakarta. Spanning a land area of approximately 2500 m², the school building itself covers an impressive 4970 m². The structure comprises four floors and an additional rooftop floor, ingeniously designed as a sports area. Adhering to the standards of Kristoforus Schools, this architectural feat was meticulously planned starting from September 2019. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, we persevered and commenced construction in 2022. Here’s to shaping the future within these walls!”
Indeed, the primary function of a school building is to support effective and efficient teaching and learning processes. In this regard, the architectural design of the Kristoforus Elementary School building in West Jakarta has taken this into account.

With limited land and a Building Base Coefficient (KDB) requirement of 50%, as well as a Building Floor Coefficient (KLB) value of 2, the school building committee decided to maximize the function of the building. This was done in order to accommodate more classrooms and other supporting functions that are required in a school.

Therefore, while architectural beauty may not be the main priority in this design, function and efficiency of space usage are highly prioritized. This is an example of how architecture can adapt to existing needs and limitations to create optimal solutions.
