Frozen Russian Accounts for Ukraine's Reconstruction: EU and Kyiv Agree on New Loan

Frozen Russian assets should be transferred to Ukraine to purchase weapons and defeat the aggressor on the front line, Ukrainian MEP Natalie Luazo said in an interview with the Ukrinform news agency. She noted that the money could be allocated to Kyiv as reparations if Moscow refuses to pay compensation for the damage caused. On November 28, Ukraine and the EU signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the issue of allocating funds from the income from frozen Russian assets.
