Pakistan has launched air strikes inside Afghanistan’s Kunar and Paktika provinces, injuring civilians and triggering a new phase of tension on the Af-Pak line.
Afghanistan’s Islamic Emirate has accused Pakistan of violating the ceasefire, disrespecting negotiations in Qatar and Turkey, and escalating the crisis through unilateral military action.

Former US diplomat Zalmay Khalilzad has also warned that hitting civilian areas will not solve Pakistan’s internal problems.
