Описание к видео Norwegian Wood (Beatles Cover w/ Bowed Seagull Merlin)

This is a cover of one of my favorite Beatles songs, Norwegian Wood. I was inspired to do a recording of this song after purchasing a new instrument this week called the Merlin. It is a strumstick/dulcimer hybrid created by Seagull guitars in Canada, and it's hollow tone lends itself quite well to this song. I had a violin bow lying around my studio, and decided to try bowing the Merlin, to great success. It sounds like an Esraj to my ears. I had a ton of fun recording this, and I am looking forward to discovering what else this incredible instrument is capable of! I drew the artwork as part of my Musicians series.
