2014 Chevy Corvette Z51 with Magnetic Ride Control Suspension | $589 eBay replacement

Have you noticed that the cheap ebay magnetic ride shocks for your C7 Corvette and thought "Hmm, wounder how good they actually are?" Well, hold my beer, I got you.

When I purchased this vehicle I noticed the ride was completely different then the Silver C7 we had. It rode like a Honda Civic with cut springs, it rode like crap. So I went back and forth between factory GM shocks that were between $350 and $600 per shock or trying out the cheap ebay Shocks for $589 for the complete set.

So, I purchased the shocks off ebay and took delivery a week later. The install was pretty easy and I'd say most anyone can do this job. Yes, we had a lift, however, one is not required.

After a week of use on these new shocks, i noticed the "Service Suspension" light came on the dash and speed was limited to 85mph. I did a quick scan and found that both front shocks had failed after a week. I reached out to the dealer on eBay that I purchased these off of and they were more than willing to send me out another front pair (at no cost) to make things right. After these were installed, I have yet to have another issue.

You will need some basic tools to do this job:
Jack and jack stand
Couple different extensions
2 - 1/2 inch sockets
2 - ratchets
15mm Socket
18mm Socket
Flat head screw driver
