The Urmston & District Model Engineering Society has the longest raised track that we have rode,it even could be the longest in the country,somebody might know if this is true.
They had some lovely steam loco's giving rides also so were using a shorter track.The rebuilt Scot was my favourite so we had to have a ride behind her.
On leaving the station the track has a sharp climb which then goes through a bridge before leveling out and running around the edge of Abbotsfield park.
Many thanks to the members present for a very warm welcome.
Also to the driver of the Polly 5 for allowing Rosie to drive his loco.
