An unusual virus discovered in the melting permafrost excites the scientific community. It has a massive genome, and only 1% of its genes match anything in existing databases. Later in the decade, the seas begin their transformation into something totally alien. The human population has now been decimated. Survivors gather in isolated havens spread throughout the world. A few factions control most of the havens and resources. The Phoenix Project is a worldwide organization designed to be activated when the world is in peril. We command one cell consisting of the world’s best scientists, engineers and soldiers. The other cells are silent, our research is scattered and or resources limited. Time to fight off the alien menace and rouse the cult of S.T.E.V.E. to glory once again. Let's Play Phoenix Point
