Flight Review - Business Class on BRITISH AIRWAYS - Miami to London. Not the best...

This is a review of my recent flight from Miami to London with British Airways in Club World, as BA calls its intercontinental business class product. It wasn't a great experience...

The issues started at the airport, where (I later learned) only 5 staff had reported for duty. That is not enough to effectively service a departing A380 which might have had 470 passengers aboard. The check-in lines were obscene, with only 4 manned desks. I was able to use the first class counter but it still took 45 minutes to process the 6 people ahead of us in line. I might still be there if I'd had to use the economy check-in!

We were then instructed to leave the lounge to board for an on time departure. Which felt unlikely, but we were assured things were progressing so headed to the gate. Where I then had to sit on the floor for over 2 hours until we finally boarded and took off 3 hours late.

When on board, I was keen to enjoy the famed Club experience. But as we'd taken off after midnight, the crew operated an abbreviated service, getting dinner trays onto tables as quickly as possible. As we wanted to enjoy the experience, we took our time, which meant we had to eat the bulk of our dinner in the dark.

And don't get me started on what I thought about the breakfast...
