Experience VR for Social Good: Student Projects from SFU | IAT 848 Showcase at SFU-SIAT

Описание к видео Experience VR for Social Good: Student Projects from SFU | IAT 848 Showcase at SFU-SIAT

Step into the world of virtual reality and explore innovative projects created by graduate students in Simon Fraser University's IAT 848 course (Mediated, Virtual, and Augmented Reality), taught by Professor Bernhard Riecke.
Here is an impromptu showcase video that we created spontaneously during the showcase - with the design constraint of no scripting, storyboarding, rehearsal, or video editing (apart from one pausing) - just improvised. Enjoy:

This showcase features immersive VR experiences designed to:
Challenge implicit biases in law enforcement: "If I Were You" allows officers to step into the shoes of others, fostering empathy and understanding.
Explore the impact of lifestyle choices on brain health: "MindScape VR" takes users on a journey through the mind, revealing the consequences of their decisions.
Find Your Zen:: "BR-FLY" guides users through a meditative breathing exercise in a calming virtual environment.
These projects demonstrate the power of VR to address real-world challenges and create positive social impact.
