A shocking video has surfaced from Kanadi Ghat village in Beed district, exposing alleged corruption and intimidation linked to a windmill project by 02 Renewable Company. Farmers Ganesh Zodge and Krishna Zodge claim that windmill towers were erected on their land without proper compensation. When they protested and stopped the work, police officers — identified as Datta Balwant, Sachin Murumkar, and Sachin Garje — allegedly arrived to pressure them into allowing the project to continue. One officer was caught on camera threatening a farmer, saying, “I’ll ruin your character.”
The incident has reignited outrage over the growing windmill extortion nexus in Beed, already connected to the brutal murder of Santosh Deshmukh in Massajog. Main accused Valmik Karad is currently in jail, while gangster Nilesh Ghaywal is also reportedly linked to the same racket and remains absconding. Despite repeated crackdowns, the exploitation of farmers continues — now escalating tensions between communities. Activists are demanding urgent intervention from the Home Department and Chief Minister to stop this cycle of corruption, violence, and injustice in Beed.
