Hi and welcome! This is a channel where I read a book and listen to a metal album that might or might not go along with it (that's sometimes a surprise for myself, as well). I do not read out loud because my voice is not for the faint of heart, but also because I just want to help people become motivated to read more, which, in turn, also motivates me. It's like... an Ouroboros of motivation.
So, if you need a bit of a reading push and want to feel like there's someone with you reading their book and doing their thing, you've come to the right place! I don't add the music in the background because of 1) copyright, 2) you want to listen to another metal album or 3) you don't want to listen to this God-awful music to begin with, but you still want to read. This ASMR-izes into sounds of page turning, nose scratching, chair screeching and accidental leg hitting (and hurting, auch!) into the chair/desk/etc. This stuff ain't easy!

Somehow, King's way of portraying toxic family environments has always left an impression on me and "The Stand" is not exempt from this. It just gives out a type of rawness for its characters and makes them so relatable, it's hard not to want to protect them in some way.
