I had the privilege of meeting Markus Stitz the other evening. He was giving a talk in the Scottish Borders and I managed to meet up with him before the talk and ask him some questions. To say he was an extremely knowledgeable and friendly gentleman would be an understatement.

We discussed his year out to cycle around the world on a single speed bike, his experience of the ‘real world’ vs the world we see on television, and also spoke about some items he wouldn’t go bikepacking without! I hope you enjoy hearing from someone who really knows what he is speaking about. Listen up as there are some wise words when it comes to bicycle touring and bikepacking.
