In part 2 we removed the instrument cluster once again. The temp/fuel/oil gauge cluster was removed and we were able to repair the temperature gauge. It now reads correctly and is nice and steady. Both the fuel and temperature gauges would jump around when you tapped on the instrument cover or the dash. This issue has been corrected as well. It was a connectivity issue. Stay tuned to part 3 of this series to see how we fixed the instrument cluster illumination problem permanently.

Tools and materials:

- Fluke multi-meter
- JB Weld Plastic Bonder
- 600 grit wet/dry sand paper
- White lithium grease to lubricate the odometer reset button.
