More Touhou. Fewer views. Took this whole week off for a break and finished this song up. Christ, I swear, whatever I do to this song, it just sounds so bad. And it's a true pity, too, considering it's my favorite melody ZUN's ever composed. I present a mostly completed work, but like the FF9 final boss theme, I just gave up after a point and am submitting this now. Damn it, ZUN, stop making music with ten different instruments all spouting out sounds at the same time.

I have not the percussion to pull off half the transitions; actually most of the transitions simply suck regardless, and make the tune sound really broken up. And I don't have half the instruments I want in the proper places (primarily the brass at the end). And the song can't loop well at all because it demands a gradual silencing of the notes at the end of the segment. Did I mention this song took some seven segments?

sigh Anyways, this deserves 1's across the board. But I've started looking into another Touhou song and it seems to work better for the most part, except one segment in the middle. That'll be a surprise to you Touhou fans out there, all four of you.
