Welcome to my Jazzroom - in this video I am showing some cuts from my slow/meditative process of beat making on a vintage 12bit 1987 drum
Machine/sampler EMU SP12 with a help of a MIDI grid in Ableton Live to be able to shift midi notes ( drum hits) freely on the midi grid to achieve a desired “ loose /lazy “ drums timing . SP12 and SP1200 are great samplers but the midi sequencer has some limitations - that’s where an external MIDI sequencer of any DAW comes In handy.
