Quake 1 | Nightmare | Episode 1: Dimension of the Doomed

I'm a QUAKE fan. Not Quake 3, Not Quake Champions. Just Quake. With a Gothic, semi-Lovecraftian theme, it was like Doom, except instead of fighting Hell Demons, you were fighting interdimensional monsters. Anyway, with all the yip-yap about Quake-Con, I figured I'd play a bit of it for fun. I do that about once a year anyway.

This play-through is running the Darkplaces Engine with the Quake Retexture Project, but is otherwise vanilla with no major mods. No, I don't care about 100% accurate emulation, and I use all the shiny stuff that most Quake fans hate. Also, I like my multiplayer engines based in Quakeworld, not original Quake. In other words, I'll never see eye-to-eye with most people still doing things for Quake.
