The Boss RC-30 (http://bit.ly/2kBZ1bt) has been around for awhile now, but holds up as a pretty awesome multifaceted looper for recording and playing live. With two tracks, stereo inputs and outputs, XLR and USB inputs and built in effects, the RC-30 is a bit intimidating, but that’s also what makes it great. It’s a tool you’ll need to spend some time with, but once you discover how it fits your needs, you’ll realize it’s extremely versatile.

You can record up to 3 hours of loops and phrases, including imported backing tracks for your solo act. The onboard rhythms will keep you in tempo, and the effects add some cool dynamics to your loops. One of the stand out features is the ability to record on two tracks and use them to add and subtract loops to vary up a song. Finally, the XLR input means you can plug a mic in and loop your voice, this signal can also be manipulated with the built in effects.
