🤌 Dry Ingredients:

200 g plain flour
100 g almond flour
150 g brown sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tsp ground ginger
½ tsp ground cloves
Pinch of salt

🤌 Wet Ingredients:

100 g creamy almond butter
250 ml unsweetened almond milk
80 ml vegetable oil
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tsp vanilla extract

🤌 Decoration:

50 g sliced almonds
Icing sugar, for dusting


👍 Step-by-Step Process:

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease an 8-inch round cake tin and line the bottom with parchment paper.

Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together 100 g almond butter, 250 ml almond milk, 80 ml vegetable oil, 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar, and 1 tsp vanilla extract until smooth.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, sift 200 g plain flour and 100 g almond flour. Add 150 g brown sugar, 2 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp baking soda, pinch of salt, 2 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp nutmeg, 1 tsp ginger, and ½ tsp cloves. Whisk to combine.

Make Batter: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry, stirring gently until just combined. The batter will be thick.

Prepare Tin: Pour the batter into the prepared tin, smooth the top, and sprinkle with 50 g sliced almonds.

Bake: Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in the tin for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
