Imagine Cities is an innovative non-profit organization based out of Calgary, Alberta that believes great cities are the result of great communities. As such, they are committed to developing smart urban solutions that keep citizens engaged and informed of the ways they can help contribute and build their community. The Creative Communities Labs (CCL) web application will connect local community organizations with the human resources required to fulfil the needs of a project. This is achieved by giving community organizations the ability to post their local projects onto the CCL webserver database hosted by Imagine Cities. These projects can then be onboarded by approved post-secondary institutions, third sector groups and companies who can apply their expertise to complete the project - gaining real-world experience and making an impact in these communities. Furthermore, these groups can create their own pages on the web app to advertise their capabilities and availability to community organizations in need.
