The Iran–US–Israel conflict continues to escalate, but Iran has now announced a major shift in its war strategy. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that the Iranian Interim Leadership Council has decided that neighboring countries will no longer be targeted, unless attacks on Iran originate from their territory. According to Iranian media, the president also apologized to neighboring countries for recent attacks, signaling a possible attempt to reduce regional tensions.

Meanwhile, after a meeting between Asim Munir, Chief of Defence Staff of the Pakistan Army, and Khalid bin Salman Al Saud, Saudi Arabia’s Defense Minister posted on X that the two sides discussed Iran’s attacks on Saudi Arabia and the measures required to prevent them under the Joint Strategic Defense Agreement.

Donald Trump warned that Iran could be “hit very hard” again, saying the US military is considering new targets inside Iran. Trump claimed that Iran’s recent conciliatory statements toward Middle Eastern countries were the result of intense US and Israeli military pressure.
The Arab League has also called an emergency meeting of foreign ministers to discuss Iranian attacks on Arab countries. According to Assistant Secretary-General Hossam Zaki, the meeting was requested by Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Jordan, and Egypt.

Israel Defense Forces confirmed that 80 fighter jets carried out overnight strikes inside Iran, dropping around 230 bombs on multiple military targets including facilities linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Iranian media reported casualties including Asghar Hejazi, a senior aide to Ali Khamenei.

Iran has also launched multiple waves of ballistic missile attacks on Israel, forcing millions of Israelis to take shelter overnight. Saudi Arabia claimed it intercepted drones targeting the Shaybah oil field and a ballistic missile aimed at an air base.

The crisis has also affected global energy markets. The Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important oil shipping routes, remains disrupted, causing major delays in oil tanker movement and raising fears of an international oil shortage. Several Gulf countries have reduced or halted oil and gas production due to ongoing missile and drone threats.

In another development, the Iranian Navy claimed to target the US aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln using shore-to-sea missiles. Meanwhile, Iran’s Intelligence Ministry warned citizens against sharing photos or videos of areas damaged by US or Israeli strikes, saying anyone providing such material to foreign media outlets would face severe punishment.
