You don’t have to be German to love Oktoberfest. It’s becoming a worldwide celebration and its celebrated widely throughout New Jersey.

The original “Oktoberfest” occurred in Munich, Germany in 1810 to celebrate the October 12th marriage of Bavarian Crown Prince Ludwig to the Saxon-Hildburghausen Princess Therese. It continues to happen every year in Munich and is the world’s most popular and largest beer festival. Oktoberfest is an event that takes place during the 16 days before the first Sunday in October. This German celebration has spread throughout the world for all the beer lovers.

New Jersey has a ton of Oktoberfest events happening throughout North, Central, and South Jersey.

Here are three Oktoberfest in Central New Jersey that you need to attend:

Laurita OktoberFest with Food Trucks & Fire Pits October 6, 7, 2018; Saturday 11:00 am – 9:45 pm & Sunday 11:00 am – 8:00 pm Laurita Winery 85 Archertown Rd, New Egypt, NJ

You can’t beat the admission price of $8 a person. This event includes free parking (winning), a free shuttle service to and from the Vineyard festival grounds, a free Laurita winery glass, a playground for your kids, and free firewood for their firepits (40 of them). The festival includes gourmet food trucks, live music, and fireworks. It’s not your typical beer Oktoberfest but you can’t beat all of the amenities that are included for the low price of $8!

Admission is free (YAS)! This event features a German Beer Garden with Food Vendors, the Samuel Adams Stein Hoisting Contest, live music, and Food Vendors.

Asbury Festhalle & Biergarten Oktoberfest September 29-October 9th : 4 PM-10PM 27 Lake Ave Asbury Park, NJ 07712

Asbury Festhalle & Biergarten will be hosting their 4th Annual Oktoberfest. This will be the most authentic Oktoberfest of the three. This celebration features bier from 5 of the 6 original and official Oktoberfest Breweries, traditional games dating back the 1st Oktoberfest of 1810, imported Bavarian Bretzels and German fair, polka bands from all over the country as well as traditional Czech folk music, a giant Munich style Oktoberfest tent and more!
