As young people take to streets protesting little efforts by world leaders to stem Climate Change and children underline how worried they are about their future on a hotter planet, it is time to talk why we are not moving fast enough to deal with a scenario that spells death for all, and for the planet itself. All the continents, except Antarctica, saw protests last Friday, September 20, 2019, and millions poured out on to the roads, in response to a movement that started when a young girl in Sweden refused to go to school and instead called for a strike.

As of now, Greta Thunberg, the 16-year-old Swedish climate activist, and the children active in the movement inspired by her, are making more sense than the mature world leaders. We discuss how this momentum can be turned into sustained political pressure on governments and companies?

Can and how this global movement into concentrated political pressure that can influence govt decisions? The United States is now rolling back several environmental regulations under President Donald Trump.

Can this fight UNITE or will it DIVIDE us? Is it a utopian demand to end all fossil fuels? While POSTURING is not enough to stop climate crisis, the leaders are up against KIDS who are sophisticated enough to recognize posturing. Are we looking at a scenario where protests will become more confrontational in the coming weeks and months?
