💖 WATERMELON SPLASH SOAP RECIPE 💖
📦 INGREDIENTS:
FROM YOUR BOX
8oz (1/4 block) Shea Butter Melt and Pour Soap Base
16oz (1/2 block) Glycerin Melt and Pour Soap Base
1/8 tsp Lime Green Mica Powder
Perfumer’s Alcohol + Spray Cap
1/4 tsp Forest Green Mica Powder
1/4 tsp Fuchsia Mica Powder
4” Loaf Soap Mold
Scent (choose one):
*Safer Fragrance Oil Version
80 drops Coastal Cactus Safer Fragrance Oil
70 drops Grapefruit Essential Oil
30 Spearmint Essential Oil
20 Amyris Essential Oil
*Essential Oil Version
80 drops Grapefruit Essential Oil
30 drops Lemongrass Essential Oil
40 drops Lime Essential Oil
20 drops Spearmint
30 drops Geranium Essential Oil
FROM YOUR HOME
1 tsp Poppy Seeds or Chia Seeds
SPECIAL TOOLS

Toothpick

🗒️ INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Cut the soap bases into 1 inch cubes.
2. Make the Rind Layer: Melt half of the Shea Butter Melt and Pour Soap Base cubes in a double boiler or microwave using short intervals, stirring between.
Add the Lime Green Mica Powder and stir to mix. Pour half of the melted soap into the mold.
3. To the remaining melted soap, add the Forest Green Mica Powder and stir to mix. Before the lime green layer sets, pour the forest green soap into the lime green layer to create swirls (pour at 130°F). If the soap has started to harden and swirls do not form while pouring, use a toothpick to create swirls through the soap. Spritz with Perfumer’s Alcohol. Allow this layer to set (about 10 minutes).
4. Melt the remaining Shea Butter Melt and Pour Soap Base (leave it white). Pour this on top of the green layer. Spritz with Perfumer’s Alcohol. Allow it to set (about 10 minutes).
5. Make the Melon Layer: Melt the Glycerin Melt and Pour Soap Base in a double boiler (or microwave using short intervals, stirring between). Add the Fuchsia Mica Powder, poppy seeds, and scent choice. Allow the soap to cool for a few minutes so that the poppy seeds stay suspended in the soap when you stir it (~130°F). Pour the melted soap onto the white layer. Spritz with Perfumer’s Alcohol. Allow it to set completely (4-6 hours).
6. Once the soap is fully set, pull the sides of the mold away from the soap. Flip the mold over and work the soap out of the mold from the bottom. Then remove the soap from the mold.
7. Cut the soap into 4-6 slices. Store in an airtight container until ready to be used.

To use: Lather the soap with water and massage onto skin for a gentle cleanse and light exfoliation.
Tips: To add definition to the green swirls in step 3, swirl a toothpick through the soap batter. The poppy seeds give the impression of watermelon seeds and allow for gentle exfoliation; you can omit them for a smoother bar.
