In the bad weather, with the windshield wipers swinging back and forth violently blocking my view, I squinted my eyes as I headed from the Ring 8 to the Third Keihin, once again heading to a warehouse in Yokohama.
The rain was getting heavier as it blew against the windshield, but the driving was light.
On the way back from the warehouse, I thought, "Let's wander around the city of Yokohama again."
I usually do delivery work in Tokyo, but
wherever I drive in Tokyo these days, there are election posters posted, and the whole town is dominated by the Tokyo gubernatorial election.
The Tanabata showdown is coming up on July 7th.
For someone like me who lives on the fringes of society, it doesn't matter who the governor of Tokyo is.
Because it doesn't make much difference to my life no matter who becomes the head of the city.
Feeling refreshed by the streets of Kanagawa without gubernatorial election posters, I headed to Shin-Yokohama to fill my stomach after safely completing my deliveries in Kanagawa Prefecture, adjacent to Tokyo.
I had always been curious about the Ramen Museum, but had never been there because of rumors that you pay an entrance fee and even pay for the ramen.
The spicy miso ramen I had was the best bowl I've ever had in my life, but I'm still a fan of ramen shops.
After eating the delicious ramen I had been longing for, I drove to the area around Kannai Station.
I was in top physical and mental condition, but the rain hadn't stopped and the town was deserted.
Even in the rain, there are heaps of people in Tokyo, but Yokohama, the land of the opening of the country and an international city, is a regional city
I wondered if it could get so lonely on a rainy weekday...
Wandering alone through the unfamiliar town in the pouring rain, I was filled with anxiety and loneliness
As I entered the underground passage to avoid the rain,
I heard the gentle sound of a piano echoing through the underground passage, as if inviting me.
I headed toward the sound.
There was a woman playing the piano at night!! As I walked, wondering what to do, I came across a huge number of cardboard houses...
I ran away.
I was a light truck driver after all.
I should just go back to Tokyo.
I was so scared that I was completely frightened
and just as I was about to run away from the cardboard houses and return to my car,
I sensed the presence of someone on the stairs just before the underpass...
