Harvesting Bananas on our Puerto Rico Land! | First time farming organic produce in the Caribbean

Banana plants are growing on our land wild and organic. This is the firs time Gerry has helped harvest his very own banana cluster. In a few years we plan to have as many banana and plantain plants the hill can sustain so we can eat, give away, and sell. Organic produce is tasty and healthy and we will be able to truly monitor and certify organic. Some facts about bananas below:

A bunch of bananas is called a hand, and a single banana is called a finger. A cluster of bananas can contain 3 to 20 hands.

We had a lot of banana "hands" and we did what you do on an island we ate some, we gave some away to neighbors and friends, and packed some to fly home with us to Boston.
